Aluminum Steel Finish
Aluminum sheets is one of the most common industrial use products available primarily for its weight to strength ratio. No other product is as light weight but also as sturdy. We offer almost any of our products in a standard bare aluminum in any number of alloys. The different alloys are the different concoction of aluminum to get a desired outcome.
Typically, we deal mostly in the most standard aluminum alloys in sheet form since they are the most common. The aluminum can be easily formed and cut to almost any size or shape. Aluminum roofing and siding panels are ideal because of their light weight and corrosion resistance.
Although you can use a bare aluminum for this purpose it will get a white oxidation on the surface and is therefore commonly coated with a painted finish. (The painted finishes are listed under the Kynar coated items and colors). The aluminum is great for any application in coastal environment and the aluminum does not trap the heat like other materials.
We tend to stock the aluminum in standard flat sheets of 48”W x 96”L, 48”W x 120”L, and 48”W x 144”L with the most common thicknesses of .032, .040, .050, or .063 decimal thickness. As mentioned before we handle the aluminum in flat mill-finish, or the ‘stucco-embossed’ finish (both of which can be painted in many vivid colors), which is pebble, leather grain type of finish which cuts down on its reflectivity to limit the sun blinding anyone looking directly at the surface.
